Crest
Next level living.
A steep drop and an unusual building envelope could easily induce headaches. At Crest, we saw 1,041 square metres of creative opportunity.

VISION
The site presented many questions. How could we use Mosman's natural landscape in all its rare glory to inform our design? We studied the natural movement and curvature of the land, plus its connectivity to the harbour. We made the creative decision to set these homes six metres below street level for an exclusive feeling whilst celebrating uninterrupted water views.
"Our design sought to fully harness the opportunities presented by the site's topography. From achieving substantial height and FSR uplifts through the LEC process, to our natural yet innovative solution for the steep slope, our design solutions ensure that the development will harmoniously blend with and enhance the coastal location and existing streetscape."

With the design of Crest, we wanted to take a minimalist approach- one that would let each home breathe. This impactful restraint meant that the units stacked beautifully on top of one another, creating a distinctive crescent-like shape. Sculptural, functional, and full of intent.
SOLUTION
We worked tirelessly to hero the landscape and designed six homes with Moorgate Property with just two residences per level-private yet spacious.
Setting the homes below street level meant increased privacy, better views and direct connectivity to the harbour. A bridge and car lift make access easy-straight to your front door or your parking spot. While masonry side walls ensure privacy while large glass windows open to uninterrupted views. The result is a lifestyle being shielded from neighbours but directly open to the harbour.
There's a lot we're proud of with Crest - not because it shouts, but because it feels right. We imagined these homes for people looking to downsize without losing the things that matter. Think - three or four bedroom homes with generous kitchens, walk-in robes, ensuites. And everything's finished in natural materials like stone, timber, concrete and clay brick – elements that feel good now and will age even better.
The NSW Land and Environment Court praised Crest's place-based approach, recognising it as a positive contribution to Mosman's evolving residential character.
What began as a tricky site became a chance to do something quietly bold. That steep drop? It became the foundation for something considered and calm. A home that feels like an exhale. Crest is proud that a challenge, with the right mindset, can lead to something special.
