Privacy Policy
PRIVACY POLICY
We take privacy seriously and treat it with great care. This policy applies to all Plus Studio locations across Australasia, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in Australia and the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ), along with the relevant privacy principles in each country. When we say "Plus", "we", "us" or "our," we mean Plus Studio®, a trademark of Plus Architecture International Pty Ltd. When we refer to "you", "your", or "the user," we refer to anyone engaging with our services or content—whether you're a client, staff member, job applicant, website visitor, or anyone else interacting with us in the course of our practice. "Personal information" refers to anything that can identify you.
1. WHAT WE COLLECT
We only collect the information we need to support our work and relationship with you. That might include:
· Your name, contact details and professional affiliation
· Information about project sites, stakeholders and communications
· Notes from meetings, calls or design processes
· Device or browser details when you visit our site
· if you apply for a job or work here: resumes, qualifications, references, payroll or HR info
We gather only what's relevant and keep it as long as necessary.
2. HOW WE COLLECT
We primarily gather your information directly—when you email us, visit our studio, apply for a job, or use our website. Occasionally, we may collect info from others, like a recruiter or public sources. We use analytics tools to improve the user experience on our site, but these don’t identify you directly. If you choose not to provide certain information, we’ll let you know how that affects the services we can offer you.
3. WHY WE COLLECT
We use your personal information to:
· Stay in touch and respond to queries
· Manage project relationships and deliver our services
· Keep track of business development and collaborations
· Recruit and support our team
· Improve how our website and studio operate
· Meet legal and professional obligations
We only use your personal data for the purpose it was collected—unless you've given consent, or the law allows otherwise.
4. WHO WE SHARE WITH
In some cases, we may need to share your information with trusted third parties who help us operate, or when the law requires it.
This may include:
· Cloud storage or email service providers
· Our accountants, legal advisors, or insurers
· Recruitment or HR platforms
· Government regulators (if required)
Some of these providers may be located outside Australia and New Zealand, but we ensure they comply with privacy laws in both countries.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
5. KEEPING IT SAFE
We store your data securely, using a combination of digital safeguards and internal controls. We retain it only for as long as necessary, and then either delete it or anonymise it, unless the law requires otherwise (typically up to 7 years).
If a data breach occurs, we’ll notify you and relevant authorities as required.
6. OUR BUSINESS PRACTICE
In the course of our work, we collect information like project briefs, contracts, proposals, and communication logs. We treat this information with the same care we apply to our design work.
Some of our client relationship management is handled via tiny+ a, a secure CRM platform, subject to their own privacy policy.
7. OUR WEBSITE
We may collect basic analytics when you use our site, such as IP addresses and browser types, to improve our site’s functionality.
We may also store cookies to remember preferences or track trends. Third-party tools may use cookies as well; we don’t control these.
Links to other websites may be provided for your convenience, but we’re not responsible for their privacy practices.
