Plus Studio bolsters leadership with ten new appointments
NEWS 01 Jul 2025
We’re announcing ten new appointments across our Australian studios. It’s a significant moment for us. It marks a new chapter in our work across holistic master planning, architecture, and interior design.

These appointments will strengthen our position in both metropolitan and regional markets. They build on a 27-year legacy of creating places that enrich communities through creative, thoughtful design.

This news follows a standout year for our studio. In 2024, we completed 40 major projects, started construction on 35 new developments, and submitted 56 development applications. Our design excellence was recognised with 21 industry awards. We also expanded into Geelong, Adelaide, and Hobart, which helps us serve Australia's fastest-growing regions.
"These appointments reflect our commitment to nurturing exceptional talent and delivering outstanding outcomes for our clients. By strengthening our teams, we’re building capacity to shape places that make a positive impact. We're addressing a range of critical needs across our region".
Ian Briggs, Director, Plus Studio
Melbourne and Geelong

In Melbourne, we've elevated Candice Ng from Principal to Director. With 15 years at Plus Studio, Candice has worked on everything from mixed-use and commercial projects to residential and student accommodation. Her technical expertise, project management skills, and organisational know-how will be integral to our continued growth.

In Geelong, we've promoted Studio Lead Dominic Versace to Associate. This appointment recognises his key role in expanding our regional Victorian operations. Dominic currently manages projects from $5-100 million, including First Nations housing in Geelong and affordable housing initiatives across Ballarat, Shepparton, Wodonga, and Benalla.

Sydney

Our Sydney studio is celebrating its tenth year with the appointment of Gabriel Duque as Director. This promotion recognises his outstanding contributions to our growth. As a co-leader of the 50-plus-person team, Gabriel is trusted for his ability to deliver complex, master-planned developments. His landmark projects include Ed. Square Town Centre and Uniting Bowden Brae, and he is now spearheading major developments for Uniting Belrose and the McCall Community Hub.

We've also promoted Euckan Chan to Associate. His promotion acknowledges his technical ability and expertise in project delivery, demonstrated on key projects like Levande Oak Grange and Frasers Shell Cove. As a natural mentor, he sees staff training and development as a crucial part of his role.

Brisbane and Gold Coast

Our Queensland studios are also strengthening their team with five new appointments. With over 25 years of experience, Anthony Tai has been promoted from Associate to Principal. Currently working on multi-residential projects Faro and Palm Shores, Anthony is also supporting our expansion into retail and mixed-use sectors, leading the design and development of The Landmark, a four-tower mixed-use development in Mermaid Beach.

Paul Tseng joins us as a Senior Associate, bringing valuable expertise in construction detailing. His focus on balancing aesthetics, cost, and constructability will be a huge asset as we expand our work on major infrastructure and mixed-use developments.

Matt Harrison, John Young, and Sally Snow have all been promoted to Associate. Matt, with his expertise in master-planned residential developments, will play a key role in strengthening our technical documentation and our Gold Coast market position. John, with 18 years of international experience, excels in luxury design, specialising in hotels, mixed-use, and high-end residential projects. In his new role, he will drive design excellence and nurture client relationships. Sally, who brings 13 years of experience from the UK and Australia, excels in renewal projects. She combines innovation and human-centred design to navigate challenges across all project phases.

Perth

Our fast-growing Perth studio, established in 2017 and now 45 staff strong, has appointed Erin Warner as Senior Associate. Erin will lead the interior design team. With experience across Australia in the workplace, government, and health sectors, Erin will support our continued expansion into regional Western Australia on a range of community, education, and government housing projects.
